Job Title: Pet Store Sales Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic Pet Store Sales Executive to manage retail store operations within our veterinary hospital. The role involves delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, maintaining inventory, ensuring visual merchandising standards, and supporting billing and reception operations while working closely with the veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

- Greet customers and understand their pets' needs to recommend suitable products.
- Promote pet food, accessories, toys, treats, and wellness products.
- Cross-sell and upsell products responsibly.
- Assist with billing, POS transactions, and basic reception support when required.

Store Operations & Visual Merchandising

- Maintain store cleanliness and attractive product displays.
- Ensure products are properly arranged, priced, and labelled.
- Remove damaged or expired products from shelves.

Inventory Management

- Monitor stock levels and prepare weekly stock requisitions.
- Perform regular stock audits and ensure FIFO stock rotation.
- Check expiry dates and report near-expiry or damaged products.
- Conduct monthly physical stock verification.





Vendor & Stock Coordination

- Coordinate vendor returns for expired or damaged products.
- Follow up on replacement stock and credit notes.
- Maintain accurate pricing and barcode information.

Non-Availability Management

- Track customer requests for out-of-stock products.
- Coordinate with the inventory team for timely procurement.
- Update customers on product availability and arrange delivery where required.
- Identify frequently unavailable products and recommend minimum stock levels.

Coordination with Veterinary Team

- Work closely with veterinarians for prescription diets and therapeutic products.
- Ensure customers receive accurate product usage instructions as advised by the veterinary team.

Required Skills

- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and POS billing experience.
- Inventory and stock management experience.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a quick-paced environment.
- Passion for pets and the pet care industry is preferred.

Qualifications

- Graduate or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of experience in retail sales, pet stores, veterinary clinics, pharmacy, or FMCG retail preferred.
