Design Review & Optimization: Review structural drawings submitted by external consultants to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and project briefs.
Value Engineering: Analyze structural systems to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety, durability, or architectural intent.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with in-house Architects and Project Managers to resolve design conflicts early in the pre-construction phase.
Billing & Commercial Management:
Quantity Estimation (BOM/BOQ): Prepare and verify accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for steel, concrete, and other structural materials.
Contractor Billing & Verification: Review, verify, and certify running account (RA) bills and final bills submitted by structural and RCC contractors based on actual joint measurements in office.
Variance Analysis:
Track actual material consumption against approved structural designs to identify, flag, and minimize material wastage or cost overruns.
Change Order Management: Evaluate structural design revisions and calculate the financial impact of extra items or variations in work for contractor rate approvals.
