Finance & Accounts Associate

About the Role

The Finance & Accounts Associate will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance and accounting

operations, budgeting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and grant-related financial management for

the organisation. The role requires strong expertise in accounting systems, balance sheet preparation,

budgeting, compliance management, and financial coordination across projects and departments.

Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end accounting operations including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable,

reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and financial entries in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and other accounting

software.

- Prepare organisational and project budgets, financial estimates, cash flow statements, MIS reports,

and financial analysis reports.

- Prepare balance sheets, financial statements, utilisation certificates, and donor financial reports.
- Ensure timely processing and tracking of project funds and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle all statutory compliances including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, Skilled Tax, FCRA, CSR compliance

requirements, and other applicable regulations.

- Maintain all finance-related documents, vouchers, invoices, and records in an audit-ready manner.




- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Coordinate with programme teams, vendors, consultants, and partner organisations on finance and

compliance matters.

- Ensure adherence to donor guidelines, financial policies, and organisational processes.
- Any other responsibilities, tasks, or processes related to finance, accounts, budgeting, statutory

compliance, audits, financial planning, and organisational financial management shall also form part

of the role, as required by the organisation from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounts, or related field.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts, and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of CSR compliance and NGO/grant-based financial management.
- Advanced knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime, MS Excel, and updated accounting/financial software

systems.

- Strong experience in balance sheet preparation, budgeting, financial reporting, and statutory filings.
- Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple financial and

accounting processes efficiently.
