Zurich Kotak General Insurance is looking to hire candidates in Claims - Legal & Litigation team

Role & responsibilities

Case Registration & Management

- Register and manage MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal), Consumer Forum, Ombudsman and Third-Party (TP) claims and cases.
- Maintain end-to-end lifecycle of all legal cases, from registration to closure.
- Process judgments, ensure timely payments as per court orders/settlements and update case records accordingly.

Coordination & Liaison

- Coordinate with the Claims team on all legal matters related to claims.
- Liaise with panel advocates, provide necessary documents and information, and ensure alignment on case strategy and timelines.
- Review and monitor advocate performance and provide feedback to management.

Legal Drafting & Documentation

- Draft and vet Written Statements, Evidence Affidavits, Written Notes of Arguments, Appeal Memos, interim applications, objections and other pleadings.




- Prepare and review police complaints and other legal correspondences as required.
- Assist the Claims team in drafting and vetting repudiation letters, letters seeking explanations and other claims-related communications.

Legal Advisory for Claims

- Review investigation reports and other supporting documents to arrive at legally sound claims decisions.
- Provide legal advice to the Claims team on complex and disputed matters.
- Support decision-making on claim acceptance, repudiation and settlement in line with legal requirements and company policies.

Reporting & MIS

- Maintain MIS (Management Information System) for all legal cases and claims decisions.
- Prepare and provide regular reports and dashboards to Management on case status, trends and legal risks.
- Track turnaround times, outcomes and advocate performance metrics for continuous improvement.
