Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the purchase and procurement function for the catering division
- Source, negotiate, and coordinate with suppliers/vendors
- Ensure timely procurement of quality provisions and materials
- Monitor monthly stock levels and analyse the monthly inventory/consumption reported by ship
- Coordinate with operations and catering teams for requirement planning
- Maintain proper documentation, purchase records, and reports
- Ensure cost control and quality standards while processing every order
- Handle vendor performance evaluation and compliance

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge and experience in the purchase dept in shipping industry preferably experience with purchase in the Marine catering & victualling.




- Hands-on experience in purchase and procurement management
- Positive negotiation and vendor management skills
- Comfortable working extensively on computers and cloud-based systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and digital documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities efficiently
- Suitable for mid-level professionals (approximately 510 years of relevant experience) in catering procurement or a similar role
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Procurement Department within the shipping or maritime industry.
