We are seeking an experienced Head Logistics to lead our end-to-end logistics function, with a solid emphasis on export operations, warehouse/stores management, and driving WMS-led automation across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in international trade compliance combined with hands-on stores management, a technology-driven approach to warehouse operations, and strong commercial negotiation skills with logistics service partners.

1. Export & International Logistics :

- Own end-to-end export operations documentation, customs clearance, shipping, freight forwarding, and Incoterms management.
- Ensure full compliance with export regulations, DGFT guidelines, FEMA, and applicable international trade laws.
- Manage relationships with customs house agents (CHA), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and export promotion councils.
- Negotiation with CHA: Negotiate rates, service terms, and SLAs with CHAs for customs clearance, documentation turnaround, and duty drawback processing to optimize cost and clearance time.
- Negotiation with Transporters: Negotiate freight rates and contracts with transporters (domestic and export) including fixed vs. variable rate structures, fuel surcharge clauses, detention/demurrage terms, and volume-based discounts.
- Handle export incentive schemes (e.g., RoDTEP, EPCG, Advance Authorization) and ensure timely documentation for benefit claims.
- Drive cost optimization in international freight (sea/air) and manage LC/BRC/export documentation cycles.

2. Stores & Warehouse Management:

- Oversee complete stores operations receipt, storage, issue, inventory control, and reconciliation across all sites/warehouses.
- Implement robust inventory management practices (FIFO/FEFO, cycle counts, ABC analysis) to minimize losses and stock discrepancies.




- Ensure statutory compliance related to stores (safety, GST/E-way bill documentation, insurance).
- Manage vendor coordination for packing, handling, and transportation of materials in/out of stores.

3. WMS & Automation:

- Lead implementation, upgrade, or optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) integrated with ERP (SAP/Oracle/other).
- Drive automation initiatives barcode/RFID scanning, automated put-away/pick logic, conveyor/ASRS systems (as applicable) to improve accuracy and throughput.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to reduce manual intervention, improve inventory visibility, and enhance dispatch turnaround time.
- Track and report KPIs (inventory accuracy, order fulfillment cycle time, warehouse productivity) through system-generated dashboards.

4. Team & Stakeholder Management:

- Lead, mentor, and build capability within the logistics, stores, and warehouse teams across locations.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Production/Project, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure logistics supports overall business objectives.
- Vendor Contract Management: Manage and periodically renegotiate contracts with 3PL providers, CHAs, and transporters benchmarking rates against market standards and consolidating volumes for better leverage.
- Monitor SLA compliance and conduct quarterly/annual vendor performance reviews for cost, reliability, and turnaround time.
- Prepare and present logistics performance reports, cost analysis, and improvement plans to senior management.

Experience:

1215 years in Logistics/Supply Chain, with significant exposure to export operations

Manufacturing / EPC / Engineering / Industrial goods preferred
