Role & Responsibilities

- Execute the installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of Diesel Generator (DG) sets and associated Balance of Plant (BOP) systems at Data Centre project sites.
- Plan and supervise mechanical, electrical, and civil interface activities to ensure timely and quality execution of project milestones.
- Coordinate site activities with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, MEP teams, and OEM representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review engineering drawings, GA drawings, layout plans, P&IDs;, and technical specifications before execution.
- Supervise unloading, shifting, positioning, alignment, grouting, and installation of DG sets and associated equipment.
- Ensure proper installation of fuel systems, exhaust systems, ventilation systems, acoustic enclosures, cable trays, power and control cables, earthing, and synchronization panels.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including pre-commissioning checks, load testing, synchronization testing, and performance validation as per client and OEM requirements.
- Ensure adherence to approved installation procedures, quality standards, project schedules, and safety requirements.
- Monitor site progress, identify execution risks, and proactively resolve technical and operational issues to avoid project delays.
- Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and update project documentation.
- Verify measurements, maintain installation records, and support preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client specifications, and company quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), integrated system testing, and final client handover.




- Participate in project review meetings and provide technical inputs for project planning and execution improvements.
- Coordinate with the service team during project close-out and warranty support, ensuring smooth project transition.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 3 - 8 years of experience in erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of Diesel Generator (DG) sets, power systems, or critical infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience in Data Centre, EPC, MEP, Industrial, Power Generation, or Infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Solid technical knowledge of DG sets (Low Voltage/Medium Voltage), AMF panels, synchronization panels, fuel systems, exhaust systems, ventilation systems, and electrical distribution systems.
- Experience in installation and commissioning of large-capacity DG sets (typically 500 kVA to 3000+ kVA) will be an added advantage.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), GA drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with commissioning procedures, load bank testing, synchronization testing, and integrated system testing.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, project execution, quality control, and site safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills during installation and commissioning activities.
- Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, or ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work at project sites across India.
