Job Summary:
Talented and creative Textile Designer with 6-8 years of experience in the home textiles industry to design creative woven collections for the US market. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in woven developments, jacquards, dobbies, yarn-dyed fabrics and fabric constructions, along with hands-on experience designing for US retailers and brands, and works closely with merchandising, product development and manufacturing teams to translate buyer briefs into commercially successful, trend-driven products.
Key Responsibilities:

- Design innovative woven collections for home textiles, including jacquards, dobbies, yarn-dyes and textured fabrics.
- Develop seasonal concepts based on US market trends and customer requirements.
- Create design presentations, mood boards, color palettes and product developments.
- Collaborate with merchandising,



product development and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Work closely with buyers to translate briefs into commercially successful products.
- Stay updated with global design, color and material trends.

Job Specifications:
Educational Requirement: -

- Educational qualification from NIFT, NID or an equivalent premier design institute will be preferred.

Work Experience Requirement: -

- 6-8 years of experience in home textile design, with strong knowledge of woven fabrics, jacquards, dobbies and weave constructions. Experience working with US retailers and brands. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and textile design software, with an excellent understanding of color, textures and fabric development, and strong communication and presentation skills. Experience with reputed home textile companies such as Obeetee, Mittal International or similar organizations, and exposure to categories such as bedding, cushions, throws, curtains, rugs or upholstery, will be an added advantage.
