Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and delivery-focused Java Developer to join the Firm Risk Technology team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and modern backend development practices. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications.
The role follows Agile (Scrum) methodology and requires a collaborative mindset, strong ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
- Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, unit testing, system integration testing, deployment, and production support.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Build and deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with business users, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Go-Live activities while providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize application performance.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience with Gradle build tool.
- Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services, JSON, and API design principles.
- Experience working with relational databases such as DB2 and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
- Good understanding of web technologies and web architectures.
- Knowledge of web security concepts, internet attack vectors, and application security best practices.
- Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
