Role: HR Business Partner
Location: Panvel (Head Office)
Reports to: Managing Director (MD)
Team: Recruiter + HR Generalist
Working Days: 6 days (Mon-Sat)
Experience: 7+ years (minimum 2 years in HRBP / HR Manager role)

Role Purpose
The HR Business Partner is the people function owner at company. This role bridges business needs and people practices - ensuring the organization has the right talent, the right culture, and the right systems to support company's growth ambitions.
The HRBP manages a small HR team (Recruiter + HR Generalist) and is the single point of contact for all people matters across HO and branches. Beyond operations, the HRBP is the custodian of company's organisational values - responsible for embedding them into every people practice and holding the organisation accountable to them.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
- Directly manage and develop the HR team (Recruiter + Generalist)
- Conduct structured 1-on-1s with team members minimum fortnightly
- Set transparent goals, review performance, and build capability within the HR team
- Resolve conflicts, blockers, and workload issues within the team proactively
Business Partnership
- Develop a thorough understanding of company's business model, processes, and priorities
- Work closely with Department Heads to understand people challenges
- Be present with teams HO and branch visits — not a desk-only role
- Translate business needs into people actions: hiring plans, role designs, team structures
Talent Acquisition
- Own end-to-end recruitment planning in partnership with the Recruiter
- Drive hiring for branch-level and HO roles aligned to the growth plan
- Track TAT, quality of hire, and offer-to-joining ratios — and improve them
Performance Management
- Design and roll out goal sheets for all roles in coordination with Department Heads
- Drive the performance review cycle — mid-year and annual
- Flag underperformance early; support managers with structured PIPs where needed
- Ensure reviews are fair, documented, and outcome-linked
Values Custodianship
- Act as the primary custodian of company's organisational values and culture
- Embed values into hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and day- to-day people practices
- Identify and flag value misalignment — and address it constructively with ownership
- Build a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous improvement across all teams
Employee Engagement & Problem Solving
- Be the first point of escalation for people issues — branch staff and HO teams
- Conduct skip-level interactions and pulse checks periodically
- Identify patterns in attrition, absenteeism, or disengagement and address root causes
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee HR Generalist's work on onboarding, documentation, attendance, and exits
- Ensure HR processes are compliant with applicable labour laws at all times
- Maintain clean, audit-ready HR records across all branches

Candidate Profile
1. Experience: 5–8 years in HR with 2+ years in HR BP/Manager role.
2. Skills: Performance management, stakeholder management, HR operations, conflict resolution.
3. Other: Team handling experience, practical mindset, adaptable to fast growth.
