PROFILE SNAPSHOT

Role: Building capacity of volunteers on gender based violence related issues. Creating a pool of community volunteers (Men, Mitras and Youth) who will become advocates in the community to Educational Requirement: Minimum BSW/ MSW preferred Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in NGO Location: Govandi/Dharavi Reports to: Program Coordinator

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting monthly meeting and sessions with volunteers and engage them in the community.

Mobilize and engage volunteers in community level events on health and nutrition and GBV.

Guide community volunteers to lead Individual/collective actions in the community.

Conduct training and capacity building of the team/ Community volunteers.

Support and guide volunteers in organizing awareness campaigns on the issue of gender based violence.

Link the volunteers with police, Health systems, DLSA.

To coordinate with Health post, ICDS and police for convergence while conducting community meetings and events.

To coordinate with local groups of youth, CBOs and NGOs to network to collaborate activities.

Participate in team discussion, stakeholder s meetings for program implementation.

Link volunteers to social protection schemes and ensure its uptake in coordination with SPS.

Ensure formation of men s groups in the community.

Ensure formation and sustainability of Youth theater group by regular training, meetings and follow ups.





Ensure mobilization and awareness among men to sustain Men s work of PVWC Program in the community.

Ensure regular meetings, workshops and follow ups with Mitras.

Maintain beneficiaries and households level data in CommCare/Superset and if required in physical registers/book.

Area mapping documentation, household and beneficiary registration.

Prepare case stories on monthly basis.

Prepare a monthly calendar of activities/events.

Any other tasks based on programmatic requirement.

- Hindi- and Marathi-speaking proficiency

Prior experience in working with survivors of gender-based violence.
