Applied Retention is a Mumbai-based AI startup building the decisioning layer for customer lifecycle marketing sitting above CRM platforms like CleverTap and Klaviyo to make them smarter. Early team, direct work with founders, real ownership.

What you'll do:

- Build and own the data pipelines that ingest customer event and profile data at scale
- Compute customer-level features and expose decisions through clean, reliable APIs
- Set up storage, warehousing, and processing (batch and near real-time)
- Own reliability, performance, and data security across deployments

You should have:

- 3-6 years in backend or data engineering, ideally at a product company
- Solid Python and SQL, Postgresql
- Experience with pipelines/orchestration (Airflow, dbt) and a warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) or strong Postgres + queues (Kafka/Redis)
- Cloud experience (AWS/GCP)
- Comfort owning things end-to-end with little supervision
- Hungry and Passionate to work in a startup setting and take ownership and building out production grade softwares from scratch

Nice to have: exposure to ML pipelines, feature stores, or CDP/CRM integrations.
