Title: Associate - Financial Accounting

Location: Mumbai

Qualification: CA Qualified / MBA-Finance / MCOM

Experience: 1 - 3 Years

Notice Period: Immediate - 30 Days

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Controls

- Post and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
- Perform ledger reviews and ensure accounting data accuracy.
- Conduct data quality checks and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor reconciliations between source systems and the General Ledger.
- Investigate posting errors, outstanding items, and accounting breaks.
- Perform account analysis, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.

Month-End Closing & Reporting

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare account substantiations and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and financial statements (IFRS/Local GAAP).
- Support reporting for multiple legal entities and business activities.

Reconciliation & Intercompany Accounting

- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Support transfer pricing and intercompany reporting requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of outstanding items.

Audit & Compliance

- Support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls,



and procedures.
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance standards.

Process Improvement & Projects

- Participate in finance system enhancements and UAT testing.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and reporting requirements.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.
- Experience in Journal Entries, Reconciliations, and Month-End Closing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and control mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA, Macro, or reporting tools is an added advantage.
- Valuable communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Background

- CA with accounting experience, or
- MBA Finance / B.Com / M.Com with relevant accounting experience.
- Banking or Financial Services accounting experience preferred.
