Role:

The Program Manager BBPS, will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) business, encompassing partner onboarding, integration, governance, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and business growth. The role requires close collaboration with NPCI, Agent Institutions, Billers, and internal stakeholders to drive adoption, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhance overall business performance.

Responsibilities :

1. Partner Onboarding & Integration Management

- Lead the end-to-end onboarding of Agent Institutions onto the BBPS platform, including issuance of commercial agreements/offer letters, sharing onboarding requirements, coordinating technical integrations, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), information security reviews, branding compliance, and production go-live.
- Manage onboarding of Billers and Operating Units by facilitating contractual documentation, integration prerequisites, testing, certification, and production deployment.
- Coordinate with internal technology, operations, risk, compliance, and information security teams to ensure timely and seamless partner onboarding.
- Drive adherence to project timelines and proactively resolve onboarding and integration-related issues.

2. Partner Relationship Management & Operational Support

- Act as the primary point of contact for Agent Institutions and Billers for business, operational, and production-related matters.
- Ensure timely resolution of partner queries, production incidents, escalations, and service issues.
- Monitor transaction performance, operational health, and partner engagement metrics.
- Conduct periodic business reviews with partners to identify growth opportunities, improve performance,



and strengthen strategic relationships.
- Evaluate partner productivity and recommend business optimization measures, including rationalization of underperforming partnerships where appropriate.

3. Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Risk Management

- Ensure implementation and adherence to all applicable RBI, NPCI, and BBPS regulatory requirements by partner institutions.
- Coordinate regulatory communication and compliance tracking with Agent Institutions and Billers.
- Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) functions by providing timely and accurate data for regulatory reporting and reviews.
- Drive completion of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and support remediation of identified gaps.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely submission of information, effective closure of observations, and maintenance of a satisfactory audit rating.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of recent guidelines on BBPS operations and partner ecosystems.

4. Business Growth, Strategy & Analytics

- Drive initiatives in collaboration with NPCI and ecosystem partners to increase BBPS transaction volumes, customer adoption, and market penetration.
- Partner with Sales and Business teams to identify and nurture New-to-Bank opportunities through the BBPS ecosystem.
- Track lead generation and conversion metrics to support business acquisition objectives.
- Monitor product profitability, revenue streams, transaction trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Leverage data analytics to identify business opportunities, improve partner productivity, and enhance customer engagement.
- Prepare management dashboards, business reviews, and performance reports for senior leadership.
