Role & responsibilities

- Purchasing Operations: Process purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) in an ERP system (e.g., SAP HANA) for chemical raw materials, Packing material and laboratory consumables.
- Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers for chemicals, solvents, and packing materials.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing, favourable payment terms, and optimized delivery schedules.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate manufacturing and warehouse departments to ensure safety stock levels, minimizing production downtime risks.
- Documentation & Compliance: ISO documents, Quality documents and Ensure compliance with chemical handling and safety regulations.
- Logistics Follow-up:



Track shipments and follow up with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of chemicals.
- Required Skills & Competencies

- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of chemical specifications and laboratory consumables.
- Analytical Skills: Robust ability to compare supplier quotes and perform cost analyses.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Communication: Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate between internal departments and external vendors.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience 3 to 4 years
- Industries Experience: Chemical/API Manufacturing/Pharma
- Qualification: BSc/MSc /PGD in Material Management
- Location preference- Thane,
