About the role:

- Lead quality assurance, audits, evaluations, and research for Project Pragati and broader EG programs. Develop M&E; frameworks, ensure evidence-based decision-making, and drive timely insights/course corrections. Collaborate with Tech, Operations, Program, and other teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Program Evaluations (Internal & External) Project-manage internal and external evaluations, including engagements with partners. Liaise with external evaluators and donors for timely communication. Ensure evaluation readiness and cross-vertical alignment.
- Monitor application performance, availability and user experience, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to quickly resolve issues.
- Provide support: tool development, logistics, personnel, data sharing.
- Participate in end line report discussions.
- Design internal impact evaluation processes.
- Issue quality alerts, actionable insights, and oversee course corrections.
- Conduct field visits and audit coverage across partners, camps, districts, and states.

M&E; Frameworks and Tool Design

- Create/update Log Frames for Pragati and EG programs, incorporating expansions/interventions.
- Define indicators for short-term, long-term, and sustainability outcomes; benchmark via literature reviews.
- Develop/revise/codify audit and M&E; tools (including Survey CTO coding).
- Define sampling strategies and oversee execution.
- Produce periodic audit reports with stakeholder insights.
- Provide inputs on M&E; design, process codification, and pilot testing for rollout.
- Oversee field planning and tool execution for coverage/timelines.

Audit Team Leadership and Quality Assurance

- Establish QCARs role in feedback, risk management,



and programmatic M&E; strengthening.
- Develop audit field strategies for current/expansion states.
- Assign deliverables, manage tasks, and ensure deadline alignment.
- Build communication channels and regular cross-vertical catch-ups.
- Highlight successes, gaps, and escalate issues.
- Attend key meetings (operations, PRPMs, reviews) for collaboration.

Research and Organizational Impact

- Design/conduct field/desk research, literature reviews, and studies (e.g., longitudinal, retrospective, open schools landscape).
- Develop work plans, tools, proposals, and reports.
- Support data collection (surveys, FGDs, interviews, travel) and summarize findings.
- Contribute to Balanced Scorecard (BSC) development/utilization.
- Manage external research partners.
- Interpret reports and communicate insights to Leadership/Impact teams.

People Development and Collaboration

- Build a motivated, values-aligned team skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Design/conduct professional development sessions; provide feedback/support.
- Foster strong relationships within QCAR and with Operations, Program, and other teams.

Excellent communication (written/spoken); independent work; robust cross-vertical collaboration.

Bachelors in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related (Masters preferred).

4-5+ years in M&E;, audits, quality assurance, evaluations, or research in social/development sector (education/gender programs preferred).
