Role & responsibilities

- Tender & RFQ Analysis: Thoroughly review technical tender documents, government RFQs, and engineering specifications from PSUs and defense organizations (e.g., DRDO, ISRO, HAL) to understand custom machine requirements.
- Pre-Bid Concept Design: Create preliminary 3D concept designs, structural layouts, and pneumatic/mechanical schematics using SolidWorks to illustrate the "proof of concept" for technical bid submissions.
- Technical Estimation & Costing: Prepare highly accurate, detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimation sheets for custom machinery, material handling systems, precision linear motion stages, and structural fabrications.
- Proposal Writing & Documentation: Draft comprehensive technical proposals, write-ups, and point-by-point compliance matrices ensuring all mechanical, material, and testing specifications meet the client's mandatory standards.
- Client Technical Presentations: Deliver technical presentations and actively defend mechanical designs, component selection (linear guides, ball screws, actuator sizing), and system layouts during pre-bid meetings with government scientists and technical evaluation committees.
- Vendor & Principal Coordination: Interface with specialized component vendors to obtain competitive pricing for custom-machined parts, raw materials,



and automation elements during the bidding stage.
- Project Handover & Engineering Alignment: Once projects are awarded, lead the technical handoff to the internal manufacturing and detailed design teams to guarantee that the final fabrication strictly matches the committed pre-sales specifications.
- Standard Compliance Management: Ensure all proposed structural and mechanical concept layouts conform to relevant Indian and international manufacturing, safety, and testing standards

Preferred candidate profile

- Academic Background: Must hold a full time B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Prior experience working in a customer-facing project or pre-sales capacity for a custom machine builder, defense supplier, or specialized engineering system integrator is highly preferred.
- Industry Focus: Proven experience working with custom Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), automated material handling, precision gantry systems, or testing equipment.
- Calculation & Sizing: Strong understanding of linear motion systems (linear guide rails, ball screws, motor sizing) and basic structural fabrication calculations to create accurate, error-free Bills of Materials (BOMs).
