PROCESS ENGINEER

The engineer we are looking for will join the Project & Process Engineering Department and will be responsible for leading the development of project engineering activities and coordinating the other departments.
Specifically, depending on prior experience and after an appropriate onboarding and mentoring period, the role will involve:

- Project setup activities, including technical specification analysis, scope of supply breakdown and project planning, as well as monitoring engineering development timelines and document issuance;
- Initial project development activities, such as process design and sizing verification;
- Preparation of process-related documentation, including PFD and P&ID;, valve, instrumentation and equipment lists, and instrument and equipment datasheet;
- Ability to independently select instrumentation and valves, with subsequent coordination with the Automation Department to align on I/O lists;
- Interface with Production and Suppliers, including requests for quotations, technical alignments and production orders;
- Verification of project safety requirements,



starting from the characteristics of the handled products and assessing their impact in accordance with applicable local Directives;
- Technical coordination with CAD and Automation disciplines, and approval of key project documentation (assembly drawings, layouts, functional specifications);
- Issuance of declarations and manuals;
- Quality documentation review, in cooperation with the Quality Department;
- In office activities, including supervision and support at the internal workshop and suppliers, supervision of installation at the customers site and/or support to the Site Manager;
- Commissioning activities, either on site or via remote support.

Requirements:

- Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or related disciplines);
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, involving both Process or Instrumentation activities and Project activities, within the industrial plant engineering sector;
- Ability to read technical drawings and P&IDs;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and ESAPRO / Plant 3D is considered a plus;
- Knowledge of ERP and PMC softwares;
- Willingness to travel for business trips
