Purpose/Objective

The Cost Estimation Lead will oversee the preparation and accuracy of project cost estimates for metro construction bids, including HAM, TOT, and BOT projects.
This role involves leading a team of cost estimation specialists and executives, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with various departments to deliver competitive and exact cost projections.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Project Cost Estimation and Analysis: - Identification of Prebid Consultants for specialized projects in consultation with Design team.
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive project cost estimates, O&M; costs, including BOQ, detailed rate analysis, and benchmarking with comparable projects.
- Enable business development team with the cost estimates used for preparing effective right-sized bids for winning new projects.
- Ensure cost estimates align with MORTH/IRC specifications and industry standards.
- Understand project specifications and requirements and use value-engineering to prepare optimal cost estimates to support bidding.
- Verify and approve cost estimates prepared by the team for bidding, ensuring the most competitive and accurate cost projections.
- Conduct site studies and evaluate local material availability to ensure competitive project cost estimates.
- Conduct win and loss bid analysis and collaborate with BD team to prepare the right bids for successful award of tender Technical Expertise and Innovation:



- Stay updated with the latest technical specifications and technological advancements relevant to the industry.
- Implement value engineering options to optimize project costs.
- Lead the team in studying and applying innovative cost estimation practices to projects Team Development and Collaboration: - Build and develop a strong in-house cost estimation team, ensuring continuous improvement in estimation accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with consultants and external experts as required to enhance the estimation process.
- Arrange training Sessions on latest technology and Advancements in the market - Conduct periodic site visits, interact with vendors and contractors, and verify cost assessments for accuracy.
- Foster a collaborative environment with the Techno-commercial and Design teams for seamless information flow and timely cost estimates.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: - BE / B.
Tech in Civil Engineering Work Experience (Range of years): - 12+ years of work experience Preferred Industry: Construction and Infrastructure Development
