Job Title: Software Engineer / Backend Developer (Java & Spring Boot)

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Java Spring Boot Developer with 3.5 years of experience to join our core backend engineering team. In this role, you will focus on designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, event-driven microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience optimizing application performance using Redis caching mechanisms and implementing real-time messaging data pipelines via Apache Kafka.

Key Responsibilities

- API Development: Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs and Microservices using the Java Spring Boot framework.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Build and manage real-time event-driven communication flows using Apache Kafka components like producers, consumers, topics, and partitions.
- Performance Optimization: Implement low-latency data structures and distributed caching solutions utilizing Redis to minimize database loads.
- Database Management: Write efficient, optimized SQL queries, working closely with databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL.
- Code Quality: Write clean, testable, and maintainable code adhering to SOLID principles, OOP standards, and secure coding practices.
- Testing & Automation: Build comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or AssertJ to ensure reliable CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning sessions,



and peer-to-peer code reviews.
- Troubleshooting: Debug, isolate, and profile application bottlenecks across development and production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Core Language: Robust proficiency in Java 17+ (Collections, Streams, Multithreading, Memory Management).
- Framework Mastery: Deep knowledge of the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring MVC).
- Messaging & Streaming: Production-level knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ).
- Caching: Hands-on experience with Redis for session management and distributed caching.
- Database Proficiency: Solid understanding of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and basic indexing or query tuning concepts.
- Version Control: Expert knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and repository management.
- Tools: Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle and container tools like Docker.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, or Confluent Platform.
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Basic understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
