Role Summary:

The Senior Solar Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed solar system designs for rooftop and ground-mounted projects. The role involves technical design preparation, project analysis, performance monitoring, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Drafting

- Prepare detailed engineering drawings including:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
- Shadow Analysis
- String Configuration

- Ensure all designs comply with project requirements and industry standards




- Develop accurate system layouts and optimize design performance

2. Project Review & Monitoring

- Assess site readiness and evaluate solar resource data
- Validate project capacity compliance and equipment suitability
- Identify technical, operational, and financial risks and recommend mitigation measures
- Conduct design reviews during design, installation, commissioning, and performance monitoring stages
- Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to design specifications and optimal functionality

3. Collaboration & Coordination

- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless project execution
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and external stakeholders regarding design requirements and modifications
- Support project teams with technical clarifications and design-related documentation

4. Process Improvement

- Continuously improve design methodologies and engineering processes
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in solar engineering
- Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and project outcomes

Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or specialization in Solar Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Indian solar designing

- MS Excel
- BOM Preparation

- Experience in rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar projects preferred
