Job Title: Senior Accountant cum Finance Controller

Qualifications: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CA (Preferred)

Experience: 10-20 years of experience in accounting and finance (Transport/Logistics preferred)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and disciplined Senior Accountant cum Finance Controller who will be responsible for complete accounting operations along with strict financial control over cash flow, receivables, and expenses. The role requires hands-on execution with robust control over daily financial activities specific to transport and logistics operations including fleet payments, vendor management, and trip-level costing.

- Key Responsibilities:

- Handle end-to-end accounting including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and journal entries
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing with complete books finalization
- Maintain strict control on receivables (customer outstanding) and ensure aggressive follow-ups
- Monitor trip-wise revenue, expenses, and profitability (vehicle-wise / route-wise analysis)
- Control and verify all vendor payments including fuel, transporters, drivers, and fleet expenses
- Manage daily cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operations
- Track and control cash expenses, advances to drivers, and settlement of trip sheets
- Ensure proper billing, POD tracking, and timely invoicing to clients
- Maintain strict control on outstanding receivables and reduce DSO
- Coordinate with operations team for trip closures, billing accuracy, and dispute resolution




- Monitor bank balances, loan accounts, EMI schedules, and OD/CC utilization
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, E-way bills, and other statutory requirements
- Prepare MIS reports including cash flow, profitability, expense analysis, and variance reports
- Implement strong internal controls to prevent financial leakage, fraud, or unauthorized payments
- Ensure maker-checker process for all payments and financial transactions
- Handle audits (internal & external) and ensure proper documentation and compliance
- Supervise and manage accounting team and enforce discipline and timelines
- Key Control Areas (Strict Monitoring):

- Daily cash flow and bank balance tracking
- Outstanding receivables and collection efficiency
- Vendor payment verification and control
- Trip cost vs revenue monitoring
- Fuel and driver expense control
- Budget vs actual expense tracking
- Skills Required:

- Strong practical knowledge of accounting, taxation, and compliance
- Experience in Tally / ERP systems
- Advanced Excel for MIS and reporting
- Strong control mindset and ability to handle pressure
- High attention to detail and zero-error approach
- Ability to coordinate with operations and enforce financial discipline
- Key Expectations:

- No unauthorized or unverified payments
- Full ownership of finance operations with strict discipline
