Work experience: 4-6 year. At least 2-4 years in the Life Insurance Industry with exposure to Product / Project Management

What are your roles and responsibilities?

Product Development and Management

- Competition Benchmarking - Track insurance industry for products / features launched by competitors through Product Research and Benchmarking.
- Conduct Macro level benchmarking of companies and overall product categories in the industry.
- Liaison with channels - Understand the channel requirements.
- Conceptualize Products - Give inputs to Product Head for new product concepts based on MarketResearch, channel requirements & Competitor Benchmarking.
- Business Case Development - For new Product ideas.
- Filing Documents - Preparing accurate and proper IRDA filing documents in conjunction with Actuarial team.
- System & Marketing Launch of products - Tracking timelines for system readiness & launching the product in collaboration with marketing team
- Tracking and ensure timely closure of Day 2 features for all products before their respective impact date
- Own the System gaps / Issues identified in internal IT systems and liaise with Actuarial, Operations, IT for Root Cause Analysis and rectification as required.

Project Management

- Overseeing System development for all Day 1 features for timely product launch
- Managing projects with external vendors in accordance with the defined objectives of the project.
- Initiation & Planning - Develop plan as per defined scope with timelines.
- Execution - Manage internal & external stakeholders and drive timelines & key milestones of the project.
- Monitoring - Monitor the progress proactively and publish status / key achievements to senior management.




- Proactively organise & drive regular follow-up meetings to resolve any gaps / roadblocks.
- Manage any system related projects from products perspective as and when required

What are the role's deliverables/goals?

- Develop and design market competitive products while ensuring appropriate level of expense pricing to make them profitable for shareholders and customers
- End to end project management for effective and efficient delivery
- Sales Support leading to an enhanced sales experience

- Knowledge of the Life Insurance industry and positive understanding of Life Insurance Products.
- Stakeholder management & Good Interpersonal Skills in order to liaise with other departments / external vendors.
- Self-motivated with a high level of dedication and tenacity.
- Strong leadership skills. Should be able to drive initiatives independently with minimal supervision.

- Quality and Content of Product Material is superior. Able to understand sales process and develop product pitches to align customer needs with product features
- Understands requirements and minimum rework required (unless external)
- Ability to conceptualize and develop Business Case / Product Concepts.
- High ownership and Project Management capabilities.
- Coordinate with the stakeholders and ensure that all feedback is incorporated and best practices are followed
- Timelines are met as defined in the process
- Maintain defined TAT's as per defined process
- Ensure there are no audit discrepancies
