Job Summary

Samsung C&T; India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Manager to lead the electrical design coordination, engineering review, execution support, and stakeholder management for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in electrical systems design, MEP coordination, authority liaison, vendor management, and construction support while ensuring compliance with local and international standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and update tender documents, project qualification documents, technical tenders, scope matrices, and vendor comparison statements for contractor selection.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely submission of drawings, technical documents, and project deliverables.
- Review architectural and structural drawings during the pre-construction stage to integrate electrical and MEP requirements.
- Coordinate with power supply authorities and ensure compliance with statutory and utility requirements.
- Plan complete electrical infrastructure including:
- HT/LT systems
- Electrical substations
- DG sets
- UPS systems
- Electrical rooms
- Panel locations
- Cable routing
- Shafts and risers

- Review and prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR) and Concept Design Reports for electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with Indian and international electrical design standards, codes, and authority requirements.
- Review and validate electrical design calculations including:

- Electrical load estimation
- Short circuit analysis
- Protection coordination
- Voltage drop calculations
- Lighting calculations




- Transformer sizing
- UPS sizing
- DG sizing
- Earthing calculations
- Cable sizing

- Review containment and conduit sizing for complete electrical distribution systems.
- Coordinate design inputs with architectural and structural teams for smooth development of shop drawings and site execution.
- Coordinate with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, Security, ELV/IT, Vertical Transportation, Kitchen, and BMS teams to integrate electrical power and containment requirements.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and obtain design approvals from all stakeholders.
- Plan and monitor preparation of shop drawings in line with construction schedules.
- Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, and method statements submitted by contractors and vendors.
- Lead design review meetings, progress meetings, and prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM).
- Conduct regular site inspections to resolve engineering issues through RFIs while minimizing cost and schedule impacts.
- Provide timely engineering solutions for site-related technical challenges.
- Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to optimize project cost and performance.
- Review material quantification and monitor procurement in accordance with approved specifications and construction schedules.
- Review and approve General Arrangement (GA) drawings and fabrication/shop drawings.
- Coordinate closely with Civil and MEP execution teams to ensure construction complies with approved drawings.
- Monitor project progress and prepare periodic engineering and construction progress reports.
- Review contractor bills, certify work progress, and support payment processing.
- Lead and mentor the electrical engineering team while ensuring quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a recognized university.

Master's Degree is an added advantage.
