Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights to support growth, acquisitions, recent market expansion, and service diversification.
- Partner with the VP and leadership team on strategic planning and decision-making.
- Lead long-term financial forecasting and capital allocation initiatives.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)

- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans. & Monitor key financial and operational KPIs.
- Conduct route, customer, branch, and product profitability analysis & Drive margin improvement initiatives across freight forwarding operations.
- Deliver monthly management reports and board presentations.

Accounting & Financial Control

- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
- Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

- Optimize cash flow and liquidity management.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and collections performance.
- Reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improve cash conversion cycles.
- Manage banking relationships, treasury operations, and funding requirements.

Freight Forwarding & Logistics Finance

- Analyze profitability by shipment, customer, trade lane, branch, and transport mode.
- Monitor freight costs, carrier contracts, customs expenses,



and operational margins.
- Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost allocation for logistics transactions.

Compliance, Taxation & Risk Management

- Ensure compliance with tax, customs, trade, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage corporate tax planning and indirect tax compliance.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee insurance and risk management programs.

Banking, Funding & Investor Relations

- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate credit facilities, working capital lines, and financing arrangements.
- Support fundraising, M&A;, and due diligence activities when required.

Team Leadership

- Lead and develop finance, accounting, treasury, and commercial finance teams.
- Establish performance metrics and succession planning. Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- EBITDA growth, Gross profit margin improvement, Cash flow generation, Working capital optimization & DSO reduction, Budget adherence & Forecast accuracy , Cost control and productivity improvements, Audit and compliance performance & Return on invested capital (ROIC)

Qualifications

- CFA, CMA, or equivalent & MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 12-15 years of progressive finance leadership experience & 3 years in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, shipping, or supply chain industries.
