Job Title: Manager IIT Solutions, DDEX Architecture & Privacy Compliance

POSITION PURPOSE

This is high-impact role that combines software engineering expertise, data compliance (DPDP), vendor management, and business acumen. You will oversee custom technology solutions for automated royalty calculations, manage third-party software delivery, and secure large consumer and artist data structures in line with data privacy laws

.1. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS (KRAs)

A. Data Governance & DPDP ComplianceArchitect systems to comply strictly with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) ActAudit databases containing artist contracts, bank details, and listener dataEstablish user consent flows, data minimization, and automated data erasure logsAct as the technical point-of-contact for Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)

B. Hands-on Engineering & System ArchitectureWrite, review, and optimize Python and SQL scripts for complex royalty processingBuild and maintain APIs connecting the platform to streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc.Design logic to automate Digital Rights Management (DRM) and catalog distributionsMaintain system documentation for data pipelines and cloud infrastructure

C. Vendor Evaluation & Software ProcurementSource and vet global software vendors specializing in music tech or FintechAuthor technical RFPs for tools like ERPs, matching engines, or automated reporting dashboardsAudit vendor code quality, security protocols, and integration compatibility before onboardingEnforce strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for software uptime and patch management

2. CANDIDATE PROFILE & TECHNICAL MASTERY

Education: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science or related field

Experience: 6 to 9 years of total experience

Technical Skills: Core Tech Stack: High proficiency in Python for data processing and advanced SQL
Cloud Environments:
Hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure Domain

Knowledge: Experience handling large datasets. Familiarity with DDEX structures Privacy Expertise: CIPP/Asia certification, equivalent data privacy coursework, or proven hands-on DPDP/GDPR implementation experience

3. CURRENT SOFTWARE / WEB PORTAL UNDER DEVELOPMENT The role will support systems that enable:

1. Content Ingestion, Usage Logs Processing & Royalty Distribution

The candidate will be expected to:

Identify and remove duplication in existing content and recent content ready for ingestion Monitor automated ingestion and reconciliation of radio logs, cue sheets, and DDEX-format usage reports from Private FM networks Coordinate with vendors/development partners for issue resolution and enhancements Ensure integrity of matching logic for sound recording identification against PPL's repertoire catalogue

Liaise with relevant teams and system vendors to address exceptions and mismatches Administer and oversee PPL's royalty calculation and distribution engine for accurate and timely processing Review and sign off on audit trails, exception reports, and dispute resolution workflows in the processing pipeline. PPL’s Licensing on D2C Platforms
