Role & responsibilities

- Perform welding activities using ARC / MIG / TIG / Gas welding as required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Measure, cut, and fit metal parts using hand and power tools
- Inspect welded joints for accuracy, strength, and quality
- Repair and maintain metal structures, equipment, and machinery
- Follow all workplace safety rules, PPE requirements, and SOPs
- Maintain welding machines and tools in positive working condition
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets
- Ensure minimal wastage of materials and proper housekeeping at the workplace

Preferred candidate profile

- ITI / Trade Certificate in Welding or equivalent
- Minimum 13 years of experience as a welder (freshers may be considered for junior roles)
- Knowledge of different welding techniques and materials (MS, SS, aluminum)
- Basic understanding of measurements, angles, and fabrication principles
