Industry Preference: Shipping, logistics, container depot, CFS, freight forwarding, manufacturing, or service industry

Role Overview

The role requires a strong understanding of accounting, GST, statutory compliance, cash flow, debtor-creditor management, MIS reporting, and team supervision. The ideal candidate should be able to manage daily finance operations while also supporting management with financial planning, cost analysis, revenue tracking, working capital control, and business reporting.

This is a practical finance leadership role suited for someone who can combine accounting accuracy with commercial understanding and management-level financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and monthly closing.
• Lead and supervise the accounts team for billing, payments, collections, reconciliations, documentation, and reporting.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports.
• Recommend payment planning based on collections, vendor commitments, statutory dues, operational priorities, and fund availability.
• Monitor debtor and creditor ageing, customer collections, vendor payments, and pending reconciliations.
• Track revenue, operating costs, expenses, and margins across business activities.
• Analyse cost trends,



revenue performance, and expense patterns to support better financial control.
• Prepare detailed MIS reports covering revenue, expenses, cash flow, debtors, creditors, statutory dues, and profitability.
• Forecast expected collections, payments, expenses, and cash requirements.
• Support management in fund allocation, working capital planning, cost optimisation, and business decision-making.
• Strengthen financial reporting, documentation, approval processes, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, customers, shipping lines, and internal departments.
• Visit company depots/offices as required for accounts review and process audit.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and financial documentation.
• Experience in cash flow planning, debtor-creditor control, MIS, and management reporting.
• Ability to analyse operating costs, revenue trends, expenses, and profitability.
• Strong Tally, Excel and accounting software skills.
• Ability to lead an accounts team and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Practical, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and deadline-focused.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 7+ years of experience in finance and accounts.
• Experience in logistics, shipping, container depot, CFS, freight forwarding, manufacturing, or service operations preferred.
• Candidate should be hands-on with daily accounting and statutory compliance.
• The candidate should also be capable of supporting management with financial planning, forecasting, cost control, cash flow visibility, and MIS reporting.
