Summary of the Position:

Job Description :
- Creation of Purchase Orders (PO) and obtaining Order Confirmation (OC) approvals.
- Verification of procurement and import documentation, including Invoices and Packing Lists, ensuring compliance with the PO and OC.
- Reviewing and validating the complete documentation checklist prior to shipment.
- Tracking shipment status through courier and cargo service providers.
- Coordinating with logistics partners such as FedEx, DHL, UPS, and other freight service providers.
- Managing import shipments under Incoterms such as FOB, DDP, and DAP.
- Resolving shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and logistics-related issues.
- Obtaining freight quotations,
comparing costs, and finalizing freight forwarders.
- Coordinating with Customs House Agents (CHA) for smooth customs clearance.
- Ensuring timely filing of the Bill of Entry (BOE) before IGM and compliance with import regulations.
- Sharing customs duty payment details with freight forwarders and ensuring timely duty payment to avoid penalties.
- Processing payments related to CHA and freight forwarding services.
- Handling re-import shipments and ensuring compliance with applicable procedures.
- Managing the GR Waiver process and ensuring timely closure.
- Coordinating the return of rejected materials to the country of origin in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of import, logistics, and customs documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and import documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with vendors, freight forwarders, CHAs, and internal stakeholders.
- Solid documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and ensure timely completion of import processes.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail and compliance.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Logistics or related field.
Experience:
- 1-4 years of experience in Local & Import purchase knowledge is a must.
