We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Manager Statutory & Statutory Bank Audit to lead statutory audits of corporate entities and statutory bank branch audits. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of auditing standards, RBI and SEBI regulations, banking operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will be responsible for managing audit assignments, leading audit teams, interacting with clients, and ensuring timely completion of audits with high quality.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Audit

- Plan, execute, and manage statutory audits of corporate clients across various industries.
- Review financial statements in accordance with the Companies Act, Accounting Standards (AS/Ind AS), and Standards on Auditing (SA).
- Identify audit risks, evaluate internal controls, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare audit reports, management letters, and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients for audit schedules, data requirements, and issue resolution.

Statutory Bank Audit

- Lead Statutory Bank Branch Audits (SBBA) of Public Sector, Private Sector, and Cooperative Banks.
- Conduct audits of advances, deposits, treasury, NPA classification, income recognition, provisioning, and forex transactions.
- Verify compliance with RBI Master Circulars, RBI Guidelines, and Banking Regulation Act provisions.
- Review CBS reports, branch operations, and internal controls.
- Identify audit observations and prepare LFAR, Tax Audit Reports, Certificates, and other regulatory reports.




- Ensure timely completion of bank audits as per RBI and ICAI guidelines.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and supervise audit teams.
- Allocate assignments, review working papers, and ensure quality control.
- Train junior staff on audit methodologies and regulatory updates.
- Monitor audit timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Standards on Auditing (SA), Companies Act, Ind AS/Accounting Standards.
- Sound understanding of RBI Guidelines, SEBI Regulations, Banking Operations, and Banking Regulation Act.
- Experience in Statutory Bank Branch Audit (SBBA), Concurrent Audit, Internal Audit, and Tax Audit.
- Knowledge of NPA norms, provisioning, advances, treasury operations, and banking compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and audit tools.

Eligibility

- Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualified.
- 0-2+ years of post-qualification experience in statutory audit and statutory bank audits.
- Prior experience in a CA firm or audit/consulting organization.
- Experience in handling multiple audit assignments independently.

Preferred Experience

- Exposure to Listed Company Audits.
- Experience with PSU Bank Audits and Branch Audits.
- Knowledge of IFC, Risk-Based Audits, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Familiarity with data analytics and audit automation tools.
