PEB Design & Proposal Engineer

Job Summary

The PEB Design & Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing preliminary structural designs, techno-commercial proposals, cost estimates, GA drawings, and tender documents for Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects. The role involves coordinating with sales, estimation, design, and clients to deliver optimized and competitive proposals within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare PEB proposals based on client requirements and tender documents.
- Develop preliminary GA (General Arrangement) drawings and concept layouts.
- Perform preliminary structural design and optimization of steel quantities.
- Prepare BOQ, material take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with the sales team during technical discussions with clients.
- Review architectural and structural drawings for proposal preparation.
- Prepare technical submittals, bid documents, and tender responses.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant IS Codes, MBMA, AISC, and client specifications where applicable.
- Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and project teams for smooth project handover.
- Support value engineering to improve project competitiveness and profitability.
- Maintain proposal records, revisions, and documentation.

Required Skills





- Robust knowledge of PEB structures and steel building systems.
- Experience in proposal preparation, estimation, and preliminary design.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- MBS (Metal Building Software) (preferred)
- MS Excel & MS Office

- Knowledge of wind load, seismic load, and steel design concepts.
- Good analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret tender documents and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

- B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
- Diploma holders with relevant PEB experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 5-10 Years: Proposal Engineer
- 5+ years: Senior Proposal/Design Engineer
- Experience in PEB, structural steel, industrial buildings, warehouses, or commercial steel structures preferred.

Preferred Experience

- PEB manufacturing companies.
- Steel fabrication and detailing.
- Tendering and estimation.
- Client coordination and technical presentations.
