Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior SEO Manager to lead the organic growth of multiple healthcare and medical websites targeting the United Kingdom and European markets.

This is not a standard SEO role. We are looking for someone who understands how to build long-term organic visibility for websites operating in highly competitive and regulated industries.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR, link acquisition, analytics, and social media marketing. You will work closely with our content writers, developers, designers, and outreach team to grow traffic, improve rankings, and increase revenue.

SEO Strategy

- Develop and execute complete SEO strategies for UK and European websites.
- Build long-term organic growth plans.
- Perform competitor analysis and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct keyword research based on search intent.
- Create topical authority and content cluster strategies.
- Plan internal linking architecture.
- Monitor Google algorithm updates and adjust strategies accordingly.

Technical SEO

- Perform complete website SEO audits.
- Identify and fix crawling and indexing issues.
- Improve Core Web Vitals.
- Optimise website speed.
- Handle redirects, canonicalisation and duplicate content.
- XML Sitemap optimisation.
- Robots.txt management.
- Structured data implementation.
- Log file analysis (preferred).
- International SEO (hreflang implementation).

Content Strategy

- Prepare monthly content calendars.
- Plan category pages, product pages and blog content.
- Work with writers to create high-quality EEAT-focused content.
- Optimise on-page SEO.
- Improve existing pages based on performance.
- Create topical authority around healthcare topics.
- Ensure content follows Google Helpful Content guidelines.





Analytics & Reporting

- Monitor keyword rankings.
- Track organic traffic growth.
- Analyse Search Console data.
- Create weekly and monthly reports.
- Measure conversion performance.
- Identify pages with declining traffic.
- Recommend improvements based on data.

Social Media Responsibilities

The candidate should also understand social media marketing and coordinate with the social media team.

Responsibilities include:

- Plan social media content strategy.
- Coordinate Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok campaigns (where appropriate).
- Improve brand awareness through organic social media.
- Repurpose blog content into social media posts.
- Coordinate video marketing initiatives.
- Work with designers on creatives.
- Guide the social media team on SEO-friendly content.
- Analyse social media performance.

Team Management

- Lead and mentor SEO executives.
- Coordinate with developers.
- Coordinate with content writers.
- Coordinate with designers.
- Work closely with project managers.
- Assign priorities and review completed work.
- Maintain project timelines.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, Business or related field.
- 8 to 12 years of SEO experience.
- Proven experience managing multiple SEO projects simultaneously.
- Experience with UK or European SEO campaigns.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
