Role

To manage end-to-end merchandising activities for denim products, ensuring timely product development, sampling, production coordination, and on-time delivery while meeting buyer expectations, quality standards, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of contact between buyers, factories, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Manage the complete order lifecycle from development and sampling through production and shipment.
- Coordinate product development, including Proto, Fit, SMS, Size Set, PPS, and other sample submissions.
- Prepare and manage product costing, BOM (Bill of Materials), consumption sheets, and Time & Action (T&A;) calendars.
- Coordinate with fabric mills, trim suppliers, washing units, embroidery, printing, and other value-addition vendors to ensure timely material availability.
- Follow up on fabric approvals, lab dips, wash approvals, trims, packaging materials, and accessories.
- Monitor production progress, identify potential delays, and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with sourcing, production, QA, planning, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure buyer comments and approvals are communicated and implemented accurately.
- Track order status,



shipment schedules, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure product quality, compliance requirements, and buyer specifications are maintained throughout production.
- Prepare merchandising reports, order trackers, shipment updates, and MIS for management.
- Support negotiations with vendors to optimize cost without compromising quality.
- Handle buyer communication professionally through emails, meetings, and virtual discussions.
- Resolve production and shipment issues proactively to meet delivery timelines.
- Mentor junior merchandisers and coordinate workload within the merchandising team.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, Fashion Management, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Apparel Merchandising or Fashion Technology will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 4- 9 years of experience in garment merchandising.
- Minimum 4 years of experience handling Denim products.
- Experience working with export houses, buying houses, or garment manufacturers.
