Senior Manager - US Insurance Operations & Compliance

Location: Noida, India

Department: Legal

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly team-oriented, execution-driven Senior Manager of US Insurance Operations & Compliance to take full ownership of our corporate insurance portfolio, with a heavy focus on US staffing operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal within the CFO's Office, this individual will transform our insurance function into a responsive, proactive operation that directly supports business growth.

This role serves as the critical technical bridge between our client-facing teams (Sales and Client Success), our internal Legal leadership, and our US-based brokers. The successful candidate will not only manage the administrative renewal lifecycle but will actively unblock revenue by resolving insurance escalations, navigating complex Managed Service Provider (MSP) compliance demands, and defending the company's risk boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Escalations, Contract Review & MSP Compliance

- Frontline Escalation Ownership: Act as the dedicated triage point for the Sales and Client Success teams when prospective client contracts or MSP compliance portals present insurance requirements that exceed our current policy limits.
- Commercial Problem Solving: Instead of simply declaring a mismatch, actively collaborate with the Head of Legal and US brokers to find creative, cost-effective paths forward (e.g., short-term premium costing, negotiation levers) so that onboarding does not stall.
- MSP Contract & Compliance Analysis: Review and analyze insurance schedules within incoming client Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and MSP compliance frameworks. Identify coverage gaps, specific indemnity implications, or restrictive policy exclusions,

and document clear guidance for the Legal team and client-facing stakeholders.
- Broker & Market Leverage: Direct daily communications with US-based insurance brokers. Push brokers for rapid turnaround times on custom endorsements, policy extensions, and rush Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to meet strict MSP onboarding deadlines.

2. Insurance Portfolio Governance & Operations

- End-to-End Renewal Execution: Project-manage the annual renewal lifecycle across all core US lines (General Liability, Professional Liability/E&O;, Cyber, D&O;, Workers’ Comp, and Umbrella), ensuring 100% on-time data collection from internal Finance and Data teams.
- Staffing Classification & Payroll Audits: Act as the technical governor over payroll audits and exposure data. Meticulously ensure all field employees are correctly classified under accurate US Workers' Compensation codes (NCCI classifications) to eliminate premium leakage and year-end audit friction.
- Claims Monitoring & Advocacy: Track, report, and monitor all corporate liability claims and workplace incidents (Workers' Comp, GL, Skilled Liability, EPLI). Partner with external adjusters and the Head of Legal to monitor reserve accuracy and expedite favorable claims resolutions.
- Sales Enablement & Playbooks:

Build and maintain clear "Insurance Playbooks" and cheat-sheets to equip Sales and Client Success teams with the information needed to resolve basic client inquiries independently. Maintain strict data records to ensure constant year-round audit readiness.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Risk Management, or Law.

Experience: 6–10 years of progressive experience managing US Commercial Insurance operations, underwriting support, or broker placement support. Direct experience within the US Staffing industry (supporting Sales, Client Success, or MSP workflows) is strongly preferred.

Technical Insurance Rigor: Deep operational understanding of US P&C; structures, NCCI class codes, payroll audits, and the nuances of "Claims-Made" vs. "Occurrence" policy forms.

Contractual Acumen: Proven ability to read insurance schedules in commercial contracts and translate technical exclusions into business impact for non-insurance stakeholders.

Certifications: Professional designations such as ARM or CPCU are a valuable bonus but entirely optional.

Tools & Data: Advanced proficiency in Excel for tracking claims, modeling exposure data, and managing renewal timelines.

Communication & Influence: Exceptional English communication skills. Must be highly empathetic to the speed needs of Sales teams, while maintaining the authority to enforce risk boundaries with brokers and report directly into Legal/CFO leadership.
