- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage obstetric and gynaecological patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings.
- Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal patient care.
- Manage normal and assisted vaginal deliveries and assist in caesarean sections and other gynaecological surgeries as per hospital privileges.
- Handle obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, including high-risk pregnancies, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, postpartum hemorrhage, and eclampsia.
- Perform ward rounds, prepare treatment plans, and maintain continuity of patient care.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative management of surgical patients.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
- Participate in departmental academic activities, case presentations, journal clubs, CMEs, audits, and research.




- Supervise and teach junior residents, interns, and medical students.
- Coordinate with consultants, anaesthesiologists, neonatologists, nursing staff, and other departments for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, patient safety standards, and ethical medical practice.

Qualifications

- MBBS with MD/MS/DNB (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the relevant State Medical Council.
- Completion of Senior Residency as per institutional and regulatory requirements (where applicable).
