Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations for Kitchen Hoods, Hobs, Gas Cooktops and Small Domestic Appliances. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, improving productivity, ensuring quality, managing manpower, and driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Ensure 95% production plan adherence, >95% on-time production completion, 95% line utilization, minimum schedule variance, effective changeover planning, and zero production backlog.

2. Product Knowledge

- Possess strong understanding of product specifications, BOMs, assembly processes, and manufacturing workflows for Kitchen Hoods, Hobs, and Small Domestic Appliances.
- Troubleshoot production and product-related issues and conduct operator training to improve product knowledge.

3. Production Check Sheets

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of production check sheets with 98% documentation accuracy.
- Maintain daily morning production planning sheets and ensure error-free reporting.

4. Daily Machine Check Sheets

- Ensure 100% daily machine inspection and preventive maintenance compliance.
- Reduce machine breakdowns through proactive monitoring and report abnormalities immediately.

5. Kaizen & Poka-Yoke

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen and mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke).




- Implement productivity, quality, and cost-saving projects across production lines.

6. Quality, Defects & Rejection Control

- Monitor in-process quality, reduce rejection and rework, improve First Pass Yield (FPY), and ensure 95% process quality compliance.
- Analyze production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

7. Rejection Trend Analysis

- Conduct daily Red Bin analysis and monitor monthly rejection trends.
- Identify recurring defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

8. Hourly Production Reporting

- Share hourly production updates covering:
- Sub-Assembly Target vs Actual
- Final Assembly Production Target vs Actual

- Escalate production deviations and implement recovery plans.

9. Manpower Management

- Manage production manpower, attendance, shift allocation, operator efficiency, and productivity.
- Maintain skill matrix, control overtime, and achieve optimum UPPH (Units Per Person Hour) and operator efficiency.

10. Material & Resource Coordination

- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure 98% material availability.
- Prevent line stoppages due to material shortages and ensure timely availability of manpower, tools, and production resources.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 8–10 years of experience in production management within Kitchen Hood, Hob, Cooktop, or Small Domestic Appliance manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of assembly line manufacturing, production planning, quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing production teams, improving productivity, and achieving manufacturing KPIs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
