Salesforce Senior Developer (nCino)

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and test new functionalities and features in Salesforce to meet business needs.
- Build both custom and standard components on the Salesforce platform, using the most appropriate platform capability.
- Make appropriate use of Flows, Apex, LWC and other technologies to ensure solutions are built to high standards.
- Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot Salesforce solutions using VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Salesforce Extension Pack and relevant add-ons, or other Salesforce development IDEs.
- Configure and enhance nCino functionality on Salesforce, ensuring solutions align with loan origination and commercial/corporate lending requirements.
- Design, implement, and support secure Salesforce integrations, including inbound and outbound REST APIs, Platform Events, External Services, Named Credentials, authentication patterns, and error handling.
- Make appropriate use of enterprise design patterns when writing custom code.
- Refine technical user stories as required, articulate clearly the technical solution required to meet a specific requirement.
- Support the Tech Lead with ensuring best practices are adhered to, providing mentorship and code review feedback as required.
- Work with Tech Leads to author Technical Design Documents, ensuring adherence to design patterns.
- Follow DevOps and release management processes, including CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and deployment governance.
- Maintain Jira tickets and Confluence documentation,



ensuring technical decisions, deployment notes, and operational knowledge are captured and kept up to date.
- Suggest improvements to the development workflow, tooling, and DevOps processes for the development team.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years in Salesforce Development
- At least 2 years' hands-on nCino experience implementing or supporting nCino solutions on Salesforce.
- Strong nCino configuration experience, including data model/object configuration, UI layouts, workflows, business rules, templates, and related Salesforce configuration.
- Robust practical experience implementing Salesforce solutions using VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Salesforce Extension Pack/add-ons, or other Salesforce development IDEs.
- Highly skilled in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Aura and Lightning Web Components to create custom solutions tailored to client needs.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and performance optimization principles for efficient and scalable applications for a large active user base
- Expertise in large-scale Salesforce integrations using SOAP, REST APIs (inbound and outbound), Streaming APIs, Platform Events, External Services, Named Credentials,



and Metadata APIs.
- Hands-on experience working within Salesforce DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient with Git-based source control workflows, including branching, pull requests, peer reviews, merge conflict resolution, and traceability from user story through deployment.
- Experience using Jira for agile delivery, backlog management, and progress tracking, and Confluence for technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Salesforce Certification (Must: Salesforce Platform Developer II)
- Excellent communication skills

- Understanding of banking terminology, particularly commercial/corporate lending terminology.
- Understanding of Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and commercial/corporate lending processes, including application intake, credit assessment, approval, documentation, and fulfilment.
- Understanding of integration patterns for enterprise platforms, including API-led connectivity, event-driven integration, external service consumption, and secure credential management.
- Experience implementing Experience Cloud solutions at enterprise organisations
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling such as Gearset, Copado, AutoRABIT, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Experience in working in both agile and waterfall methodologies
