2 Overview of the job DRF is looking for a trainer with experience in the Electrical & Electronics
Engineering domain to deliver a course on EV Technician (Battery Pack
Assembly Operator - 70% focus + Maintenance & Services 30% of associated
elements) . As a faculty, the candidate will get the opportunity to work on live
industry-relevant projects and gain exposure to teaching, learning and
development, guided by experts and professionals in the field of skill
development.

3 About DRF Dr. Reddy’s Foundation’s (DRF) started in 1996 with the mission to educate and

skill young people to fast track them towards better livelihood options.
Early programs focused on children’s education and skill development among
young people from lower income households. DRF focused on new frontiers like
rural livelihoods, inclusion and healthcare to address more complex social
problems. But to address complex social problems on a scale requires constant
innovation and collective cooperation. The foundation emphasized testing
creative solutions that sustain over the necessary periods and leveraging
partnerships to scale up the impact. With several recent strategies and
interventions, we work in 18 states with diverse partners to collectively solve
problems in rural livelihoods, education, healthcare, skill Development, climate
action, and inclusion. Our interventions are in line with United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals and stand as an affirmation to our commitment
to sustainably empower socially and economically disadvantaged communities.

4 Roles and
responsibilities

Following the predefined session plan while delivering training to the
identified candidates who would be undertaking the course
Developing skills and knowledge for self and incoming candidates on the
identified subjects of Battery Pack Assembly, EV maintenance and EV




Service Technician based on the curriculum that is designed
Conducting concurrent assessments as per the plan to continue to
measure the progress of the students
Preparing learners to face interviews confidently
Maintaining data with respect to training and related activities
Participating in center activities (such as organizing Parents' meet, doing
retention follow-up, collecting training feedback etc.) along with the other
staff members to make the center successful

5 Eligibility criteria:
- Education qualification
- Work experience
- Technical skills
- Soft skills

Education qualification: Minimum requirement of a B. Tech. (Graduate) degree;
M.Tech. / PhD preferred
Work experience: 0-5 years of Experience in battery packaging or e-mobility/EV
industry; Previous experience in teaching/ facilitation preferred
Technical skills:

Must have:
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge about different Electric
Vehicle and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Components like Motors, Motors
Controller, and Battery Management Systems
Experience in EV battery assembly and working knowledge of Battery
Charging, Protection, and Management Systems, Battery Pack Sizing
and Construction, and Battery Pack Assembly process
Good to have:
Working knowledge of EV maintenance, including vehicle/ battery testing
and management
Fundamental knowledge of IoT, AI and ADAS
SAE / FSAE /ISIE Event Participation with experience in vehicle
development ( this is a manufacturing skill, may not be a priority for
selected job role)
Experience in working with the latest Automotive Technologies i.e. FCEV,
ADAS etc. (working knowledge of basics of these can be good to
have/add on, may not be a priority for selected job role))
Soft skills:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Expertise in simplifying topics and working with students from
marginalised backgrounds
Ability to work with teams
High problem-solving and time-management skills
Past experience of training or teaching candidates from varied
backgrounds
