About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Finance to lead the Finance Division of a prestigious international luxury hotel in New Delhi. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this Executive Committee role will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring robust governance and compliance, supporting commercial decision-making, and leading a high-performing finance team.

This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality finance professional with strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in luxury hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

- Lead the overall Finance and Accounting function of the hotel.
- Develop annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.
- Monitor hotel performance through financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Drive profitability by identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and management reports.

Financial Controls & Compliance

- Ensure strong internal controls, financial governance, and risk management practices.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, taxation laws, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
- Oversee internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Manage banking relationships, insurance, licenses, and other financial/legal documentation.

Business Partnering

- Partner with the General Manager and Executive Committee to achieve strategic business objectives.




- Provide commercial insights and financial recommendations to support operational decisions.
- Monitor departmental performance and recommend initiatives to improve productivity and profitability.
- Review capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities.

Operational Excellence

- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Income Audit, Cost Control, Credit, Payroll, and Treasury functions.
- Ensure effective cash flow management and working capital optimization.
- Drive inventory controls, procurement governance, and asset management.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Leadership & People Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build succession plans and support employee development initiatives.
- Promote ethical financial practices and operational excellence.

Systems & Process Improvement

- Ensure optimum utilization of hotel financial systems and technology.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.




- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.

Experience

- Minimum 1215 years of progressive Finance experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a luxury or upscale hotel.
- Mandatory hotel industry experience.
- Experience with internationally branded hotels will be highly preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
- Sound understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Experience with hotel ERP, PMS, POS, and financial reporting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.

Important Note
