Job Description School Counsellor

Position: School Counsellor

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counselling to students for academic, emotional, behavioural, and social concerns.

Support students in developing coping skills, confidence, and positive mental well-being.

Work closely with parents, teachers, and school leadership to address student needs.

Conduct workshops and awareness sessions on mental health, life skills, career guidance, and personal development.

Maintain confidential student records and counselling documentation.

Identify students requiring additional support and refer them to appropriate professionals when necessary.

Promote a protected, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Qualifications:





Bachelor/ Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or a related field.

Relevant counselling certification is preferred.

0-5 years of experience in a school counselling role is preferred.

Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Compassionate and approachable.

Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students.

Strong collaboration and communication skills with parents and staff.
