Workday HCM Functional (4 to 9 Years)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced HCM Functional Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and technical teams to design, configure, and deliver high-impact HCM solutions. You will participate in PI (Program Increment) planning, sprint cycles, and backlog refinement to translate HR epics and features into robust HCM configurations. This role is ideal for a proactive consultant looking to drive continuous value delivery and support global HR transformation in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Requirements

- Proven experience gathering business requirements, drafting functional specifications, and translating them into business solutions.
- Serve as an HCM functional expert with knowledge of solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Deep understanding of HCM security concepts, business process frameworks, and workflow configuration.
- Experience working within an Agile/SAFe delivery model (sprints, PI planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups) using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Proficiency in creating custom HCM reports, calculated fields, data transformation logic, and supporting bulk data loads and migrations.
- Exposure to HCM integrations, APIs,



web services (XML/JSON), and data interface concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience working in a consulting, managed services, or global delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- 49 years of experience as an HCM Functional Business Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Core HCM and at least one additional functional area such as Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Absence Management, Recruiting, Payroll, or Time & Attendance.
- Experience working with one or more leading HCM platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, UKG, or Dayforce.
- Solid stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.
- Exposure to global HR processes and multi-country HCM implementations.
- Solid consulting and presentation skills with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
- Detailed understanding of end-to-end HCM processes and HR operations.
- Hands-on experience supporting HCM implementation, enhancement, or application support projects.
