About the Role

K12 Techno Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking experienced, passionate, and academically strong Heads of Department (HOD) English to drive subject excellence across schools within their assigned zones. This role requires strong instructional leadership, teacher mentoring, classroom observation, academic monitoring, and quality assurance to ensure consistent academic standards across all branches.

As an HOD, you will be responsible for developing teachers, improving classroom practices, monitoring notebook corrections, conducting regular training sessions, and ensuring effective curriculum implementation.

- Locations: Delhi & Chennai (Candidates will be assigned a base branch while supporting other branches within the zone)

Key Responsibilities

- Teacher Development & Onboarding: Ensure all newly joined English teachers are effectively onboarded, mentored, and classroom-ready.
- Training & Mentorship: Conduct daily subject-specific training sessions to enhance teachers' pedagogical skills, classroom management, lesson planning, and student engagement.
- Demonstration & Substitution: Deliver a minimum of two classroom periods every day to demonstrate best teaching practices, and step in as a substitute teacher during unexpected absences.
- Quality Assurance: Review and correct a minimum of 100 student notebooks daily to monitor academic quality, track teacher correction timelines, and maintain strict academic standards.
- Zonal Audits:



Visit assigned school branches as per the zonal plan (one branch per day) to provide academic support and identify training needs.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Support school Principals and Academic Coordinators. Maintain and submit daily, weekly, and monthly academic reports regarding teacher performance and classroom observations to the reporting manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in English, with specific experience in Secondary School teaching.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an HOD is highly preferred.
- Stability: Must have served at least 3 years in their most recent school.
- Skills: Excellent classroom management, mentoring, leadership, and communication skills. Robust academic knowledge with the ability to coach teachers effectively.
- Mobility: Ability to travel across branches within the assigned zone (Delhi or Chennai). Candidates owning a vehicle will be preferred.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in English/English Literature.
- Certification: B.Ed. is Mandatory.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum, modern pedagogy, classroom observations, and teacher development.
