i) Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

ii) 6 to 8 years experience in power plant Mechanical system consis ng

of:

a. Hydraulic Turbines consis ng mainly of dra tube, runner, stay ring

and spiral casing/ distributer piping/ Guide apparatus/ spear/

nozzle/ deflector, bearings, sha seals, turbine servomotors and

its monitoring & control/ protec on/ metering/Governing/

bearing lubrica on, air admission, systems

b. Oil pumping unit: oil circuits and its elements/ control/ protec on

/metering systems,

c. Main in-let valves/ Servomotor/ bye-pass valve: its control/

protec on/ monitoring system,

d. Synchronous Salient pole generators: stator/ rotor/ exciter/

Bearings, sha , levelling and alignment, bearing lubrica on OPU,

speed measurement, monitoring & control/ protec on/ metering.

e. Sta on drainage and dewatering system,

f. Cooling water system

g. Power house EOT cranes

h. Dra tube gates

i. Penstocks, water conductor, intake/ under-sluice gates, trash

racks, De-sil ng system

j.



Inspec on at supplier’s works, site installa on/ erec on, pre-

commissioning, commissioning and opera on and maintenance of

the above mechanical systems.

k. Leading the Mechanical team & Co-ordina on with Electrical team

leader for ecient and co-ordinated working at project site.

l. Should be ecient in Mechanical assembly and component

drawings and documenta on and welding and non-destruc ve

tes ng protocols.He shall be posted at Tefna project oce to take care of O&M;

ac vi es of Vanala and Rajwak SHEP and shall report to DGM

(O&M;)

He shall be deputed to required places for review of progress/

inspec ons/ quality aspect monitoring of ordered Mechanical

equipment for during annual maintenance of Vanala, Rajwak

water path turbine components to vendor works and any other

project or headquarter related works as the case may be.
