Lead the procurement of packaging materials by managing sourcing, vendor development, supplier performance, inventory, and procurement operations. Drive cost optimization, ensure timely material availability, and lead a team to improve procurement efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials.
- Source new suppliers and develop alternate vendors.
- Ensure timely material delivery and improve supplier performance.
- Optimize inventory, safety stock, and procurement processes.
- Coordinate with Plant, BD, PPIC, QC, and SCM teams.
- Lead and mentor a team of 10 - 20 members.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Prepare MIS reports and track procurement performance using SAP.
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Strong experience in packaging material sourcing.
- Expertise in vendor development, negotiations, and inventory management.
- Positive knowledge of SAP and procurement reporting.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM (Supply Chain/Operations) preferred.
