Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Administrator with robust expertise in OpenShift Platform Operations, Kubernetes Administration, OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt), and Production Support. The ideal candidate will manage and support enterprise OpenShift environments, ensuring platform stability, reliability, performance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

OpenShift & Kubernetes Administration

Manage and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters in production environments.
Perform cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Monitor cluster health and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.
Troubleshoot pod scheduling, node failures, resource constraints, and application deployment issues.
Handle cluster scaling, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt)

Deploy and manage OpenShift Virtualization environments.
Support VM provisioning, migration, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.
Work closely with infrastructure teams for virtualization platform operations.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for virtualized workloads.

SRE & Production Support

Provide L2/L3 support for production OpenShift environments.
Investigate and resolve platform incidents, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and operational metrics.
Participate in on-call support and critical incident management.





Storage & Infrastructure

Manage OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) and Ceph Storage environments.
Troubleshoot storage performance, replication, and capacity issues.
Support infrastructure integrations including compute, storage, networking, and security.

Automation & DevOps

Automate operational tasks using Ansible.
Manage GitOps deployments using ArgoCD.
Develop automation scripts for routine administration and platform maintenance.
Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD platform integration.

Monitoring & Observability

Configure and maintain monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
Manage centralized logging platforms such as Splunk, Loki, or EFK Stack.
Create dashboards, alerts, and operational reports for platform visibility.

Networking & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot OpenShift networking issues including ingress, routes, DNS, load balancing, and service connectivity.
Work with infrastructure and network teams to resolve complex connectivity issues.
Ensure platform security and compliance best practices are followed.

Required Skills

Mandatory

9+ years of IT Infrastructure/Platform Operations experience.
4+ years of Red Hat OpenShift Administration.
5+ years of Kubernetes Operations and Support.
Strong Linux Administration experience.
Experience supporting Production Critical Environments.
Infrastructure and Platform Troubleshooting expertise.
