Position: Sr. Designer, Secondary Electrical
Business Unit: Power Business Unit (PBU)

Job Summary:
DAR Engineering is seeking an experienced Sr. Designer to lead and manage the design and execution of LV/MV/HV/EHV substation projects within the T&D; sector. The role involves technical leadership, project management, tender support, multidisciplinary coordination,
and ensuring quality compliance across all design stages from concept to IFC.
Job Description:
- Draft drawings meeting drafting standards, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Adhere to established drafting guidelines and procedures.
- Follow the project plan and determine drafting feasibilities and constraints.
- Use the latest drafting tools and techniques to develop effective drawings.
- Execute drafting of projects within allotted timelines and man-hours (MHs).
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in relevant drafting fields.
- Ensure compliance with relevant QMS requirements by the drafting team.
- Provide assistance to senior design team members.
Skills Required:
- Full command of drafting standards as per client requirements.
- Ability to prepare project drawings as per requirements and given instructions.
- Good knowledge of various drafting software, system requirements, software administration, project DMS administration, and monitoring of e-folder systems.
- Perform required design tasks within allocated time, respecting deadlines with quality output.
- Hands-on experience in man-hour estimation for drafting functions, project folder systems, and leading a team of draftsmen.
- Solid working and mentoring knowledge of MicroStation / Building Designer / AutoCAD / 3D modeling software.
- Passionate about drafting.
- Good communication skills in presentation and documentation with command of English. Acquaintance with Arabic is an advantage.
