- The Credit Balance Specialist is primarily responsible for printing queued patient and insurance refunds including creating check registers and obtaining approval for releasing printed checks.
Responsibilities
- Print refunds checks from each applicable system within each client’s monthly deadline.
- Produce check registers for client approval.
- Track all aspects of refund checks and mail once approved.
- Print and mail overpayment letters to payors with applicable EOB.
- Track and maintain check stock inventory.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Three (3) years of credit balances & refunds and/or billing system experience.
