Role & responsibilities

- Collaborate with the design team and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for WordPress websites.

- Develop and implement responsive and cross-browser compatible UI solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

- Customize WordPress themes and templates to align with the project's visual design and branding guidelines.

- Create and optimize graphics, icons, and other visual elements for seamless integration into the website.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure website performance, responsiveness, and compatibility across various devices and browsers.

- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI elements with WordPress CMS, ensuring seamless content management and dynamic functionality.

- Implement and customize WordPress plugins to enhance website functionality and user experience.

- Optimize website performance by employing efficient coding techniques, image optimization, and caching strategies.

- Stay updated with the latest UI design trends, WordPress developments, and emerging technologies, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the website's visual appeal and usability.

- Collaborate effectively with the project team, including designers, developers, and project managers,



to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality UI solutions.

- Provide support and troubleshoot UI-related issues for existing WordPress websites.

Preferred candidate profile

- Total experience of 2-4 years in WordPress UI development

- Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.

- Experience in developing and customizing WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.

- Familiarity with responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.

- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.

- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and ability to write clean, efficient, and modular code.

- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less) and build tools (e.g., Gulp, Webpack) is a plus.

- Knowledge of PHP and familiarity with WordPress APIs and hooks is an advantage.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team workplace.

- Experience with performance optimization techniques for improved website speed and efficiency.

- Portfolio showcasing previous UI development work on WordPress websites is highly desirable.
