About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Project Manager who can bridge business objectives, clients, and engineering teams to successfully deliver enterprise-scale data and AI initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both project delivery and contemporary data platforms. You'll collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, cloud-native data solutions.

You'll own delivery from project initiation through production while ensuring quality, predictability, stakeholder satisfaction, and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platform projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams consisting of Data Engineers, Data Architects, Cloud Engineers, QA, and Product teams.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into executable delivery plans.
- Drive Agile project execution while ensuring scope, quality, timelines,



and budgets are met.
- Work alongside Data Architects to deliver scalable cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Track project risks, dependencies, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure successful delivery of Data Warehousing, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, Streaming, and Analytics solutions.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, retrospectives, and executive status reporting.
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and transparent project governance.
- Mentor teams, promote Agile best practices, and continuously improve delivery processes.
- Collaborate with leadership during solutioning, estimations, RFPs, and pre-sales activities.

What You'll Bring

- 9+ years of overall IT experience with 3+ years managing software delivery projects.
- Experience delivering Data Engineering, Data Platform, Analytics, Cloud, or AI/ML projects.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures including Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse concepts.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Good understanding of Data Engineering technologies including Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Airflow, Data Factory, Glue, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
- Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams while driving business outcomes.
- Experience in project planning, estimation, budgeting, resource management, and risk mitigation.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Experience mentoring delivery teams and managing distributed engineering teams.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or Data Science projects.
- Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Security practices.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for Data Platforms.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or Agile certifications.
- Product Management exposure is an added advantage.
