About the Role,

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Power BI Developer to lead a team of BI developers, own end-to-end reporting/dashboard solutions, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a solid mix of hands-on Power BI expertise, solution ownership, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Power BI developers and analysts
Allocate tasks, review deliverables, and ensure quality and timely delivery of dashboards/reports
Conduct code reviews and enforce BI development best practices and standards
Support team members skill development and career growth

Solutioning Development
Own end-to-end BI solutions from requirement gathering to design, development, and deployment
Design and build interactive, scalable Power BI dashboards and reports
Develop robust data models, DAX measures, and calculated columns for complex business logic
Build and optimize ETL pipelines using Power Query and other data integration tools
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reports

Problem Solving Optimization
Troubleshoot performance issues in reports, data models, and refresh schedules
Optimize DAX queries and data models for speed and scalability




Identify gaps in existing reporting and proactively propose improvements
Resolve data discrepancies by working with source system owners and data engineering teams

Stakeholder Management
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and KPIs
Present insights, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership and business teams
Manage priorities and expectations across multiple stakeholders/projects
Coordinate with Data Engineering/IT teams for data source integration and security setup.

Required Skills Experience
10+ years of experience in Power BI developer, with 5+ years in a lead or senior developer role
Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, Report Builder)
Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language)
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema)
Experience with SQL writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
Experience integrating Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud databases)
Knowledge of Power BI administration workspace management, gateways, row-level security (RLS)
Proven experience leading a team and managing project deliverables
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
